At Traine Farm we are very conscious of the need to look after the environment. We have protected it for generations and look forward to sharing it with you.
To help us protect it for future generations we adhere to the Green Tourism Scheme and have won a silver award. We’re very proud of this as we understand that we all have to play our part in looking after our planet and we hope you will too.
As part of the scheme we personally use local produce wherever possible. If you can join us, this really helps our local community to survive, reduces food miles and provides fair trade for all.
We recycle and compost where possible so please make every effort to recycle your old newspapers whilst you’re staying with us and we have a compost area for your use. It all helps to reduce the need for more land fill sites.
During your stay with us we hope that you will want to contribute to the measures that we’ve put in place to reduce energy waste. We’ve introduced low energy bulbs wherever possible. Please save energy by switching off lights and any heat when you don’t need it. If you have clean towels or bedding at the end of your stay that you haven’t used, please let us know as it saves on unnecessary laundry.
We hope that our environmental policy adds value to your stay.
